CANNES GAME CUP 2007

Here are at last all the informations concerning Cannes Game Cup 2007 held in "Palais des festivals".

1/Dates and Opening Hours

This year the event will be 3 days long.

23rd, 24th and 25th of February.

Schedule Per Day:

Friday:
- Opening from 13:00 to 20:00
- Registration from 13:00 to 14:30
- Beginning of Tournaments: 15:00

Saturday:
- Opening from 10:00 to 20:00
- Registration from 10:00 to 11:30
- Beginning of Tournaments: 12:00

Saturday:
- Opening from 10:00 to 20:00
- Registration from 10:00 to 11:30
- Beginning of Tournaments: 12:00

*Note for Saturday and Sunday: We will try to have an hour and a half break after the pools to let non "progamers" playing along with you guys.
This will also give you time to get some food.
Of course if we are running out of time we may not be able to make it.

Note for the 3 days:
There will be free play during the registration, but please first apply for registration so you can spend your time as you wish before the tournaments.

2/ Location + Informations (where to stay)

As Usual the tournament will be held in the: "Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de la ville de Cannes"

The cheapest way to go to Cannes is by plane.

From a lot of locations in europe (paris, london, rome...) you can use easyjet : www.easyjet.com

So, if you come from overseas, just fly to Paris and then, use easyjet.

Your final destination is NICE AIRPORT (1 hour from paris by plane),
a city which is 20minutes away from Cannes, you can take a bus (10€) at the airport and then just stop at the “palais des festivals bus stop”...

Tell them you come for the Cannes international festival and that you are players for the competition of GAMES FED, then , you will have VERY good prices :

STUDIO 4/5 pers. : 37 € / nuit
2 Pièces 4/5 pers. : 42 € / nuit
2 Pièces 6/7 pers. : 48 € /nuit
3 pièces 7 pers. : 51 € / nuit

This is a price per night and per flat, so, this is 37/5 = 7€ for a night for instance etc.

3/Tournament Schedule

Now let's get started with the Fun Part, this year we will have 6 Tournaments, 2 per day.

All tournaments will be in single player, Pools then single elimination. From 32 to 64 players according to crowd affluency.

The Festival entry fee is 6€ per day.

Entry Fee For Friday's Tournaments is 3 €.
Entry Fee For Weekend Tournaments is 4€.

All Specific Rules per games will follow shortly.

I really hope to see as many players as possible from France, Europe and the rest of the world for this special edition of Cannes Game Cup!

Ho I forgot, this year we will have 2 Arcade Cab with Retro Games:

- 1 Arcade Cab with SNK games
- 1 Arcade Cab with KillerInstinct.
